How a housemate without an account sees what they owe
Updated
An admin can add a housemate by name and send them a private link. It shows what they owe and how to pay, their chore turns and the house agreement, with no account needed.
Steps
- In House settings, type their name under Add someone without an account and tap Add.
- Include them in expenses and bills like anyone else.
- Send the link: in House settings, tap Send their link. Or tap Send link on their row in Balances. That button shows for anyone without an account you have a balance with, whichever way it goes.
- On the link, they see Money (who they owe, with Copy and Pay buttons), Your chore turns for the next two weeks, and the House agreement if your house has one.
- To join properly, they tap Create an account to claim it (that claims the spot) or Log in and then claim it. Their history comes with them.
Good to know
- Anyone who has the link can see that one person's money and chores, and nothing else in the house. Only share it with them.
- After the spot is claimed, the link stops working.
- People without an account can't use chat and don't get reminders.
