Chat, chores, and bills for your house
Coordinate chores, split bills, and check the laundry in one place, without chasing housemates across group chats.
For shared houses of any size: two roommates in an apartment, or every floor of a big house, each with its own channel and quiet hours. Living alone works too.
Free for 14 days, no card needed. Then $8 a month for the whole house, or $4 if it's just you. Anyone can create a house; housemates join by invitation. Works in the browser, installs like an app.
One week at Maple House
Whose turn is it to take out the trash, who paid the internet bill, is anyone using the washer. 48 seconds, music only, everything on screen.

Features
Chores that rotate
Set a chore once and hausync takes turns for you, between people or between floors, and puts whose turn it is on the calendar.
Bills, split fairly
Split a cost equal, exact, or by share. Only the people in an expense see it, and you pay each other outside the app, the way you already do.
Laundry status
Scan the label on a washer or dryer to start a load, see whose is inside, and get told when it's free.
One chat for the house
A channel for the whole house and one for each floor, groups for anything else, and private direct messages. Every message lands on everyone's phone instantly.
Shared calendar, quiet hours
Chores and events on one calendar, by day, week, or month, with a banner whenever a floor's quiet hours are on.
Multi-floor coordination
Set up floors and units if you have them. Each floor gets its own channel and quiet hours, and lists, chores, and tickets can belong to one floor or the whole house.
Also included: shared shopping and to-do lists, maintenance tickets on a board, a house agreement everyone signs, and reminders at the time you choose.
Live alone? It works for one, too
You don't need housemates to start. Everything here works on your own, for $4 a month after the trial.
Rent and bills, on time
Add rent, power and internet once. hausync reminds you on the day each one is due. Share one with someone and their part is added to Expenses on its own.
Your lease, tracked
Add the end date and the notice period. hausync reminds you before the last day to tell your landlord you're moving out or renewing.
Get your deposit back
Do a move-in check room by room with dated photos, keep a repair log of when you told the landlord, and print either one or save it as a PDF.
A list of what you own
Photos, values and serial numbers of your things in one private list with a total, ready for a renter's insurance claim.
Upkeep you'd forget
Pick from ready-made reminders like changing the furnace filter or testing smoke alarms, and ready-made lists like a moving checklist and pantry staples.
Roommates can join later
Add the people you live with by name and split with them right away. Each gets a private link to see what they owe and pay you, and can join whenever they're ready.
How it works
-
Create your house
Create an account, then start a house. You're the owner, and it takes about a minute.
-
Invite your housemates, or don't
Send them the invite link, code, or QR. Joining is by invitation only, so nobody outside your house can get in. Living alone, or roommates not ready yet? Skip this step.
-
Everyone stays in sync
Chat, chores, expenses, laundry, and the calendar update for the whole house in real time.
One place to talk and plan
Every house gets a House channel, and every floor gets its own channel that the whole house can read.
Start a group for the people who need it, or send a direct message that only the two of you can see.
Plans go on the shared calendar, next to chores, and a banner shows when a floor's quiet hours are on.
- House channel, plus one per floor, open to everyone in the house
- Groups for the people you add; direct messages private to the two of you
- Messages arrive instantly, no refresh needed
- Calendar by day, week, or month, with per-floor quiet hours
Split costs, settle up in private
Log an expense and split it equal, exact, or by share.
Only the people in an expense see it. Balances are between two people, never routed through a third.
When it's time to pay, tap Pay to see that housemate's Venmo, PayPal, Cash App, or Zelle. Money stays outside the app.
- Equal, exact, or share splits
- Private to the people involved
- Pay with a housemate's saved payment handle
Laundry you can check from your room
Print a label for each washer and dryer. Its QR code, or an optional NFC sticker, opens that machine on any phone.
Start a load, see whose is inside and how long is left, and ask to be told when it's free.
The home screen shows every machine as free, in use, or done.
- One label per machine, QR code or NFC tag
- Free, in use, or done, at a glance
- Told when your cycle ends, or when a machine you're waiting on is free
For two roommates or a whole multi-floor house
Floors are optional
A small apartment needs none. A bigger house can add floors and units: each floor gets its own channel and quiet hours, chores can rotate between floors or be switched off for one, and floor things stay with that floor.
Reminders, your time
Get reminded at the time you choose, in-app and, when set up, as a push notification. Laundry included.
Install on your phone
Add hausync to your home screen on iPhone, Android, or desktop. Light and dark mode follow your system.
Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost?
14 days free for every new house, no card needed. Then one subscription per house: $4 a month (or $30 a year) if it's just you, $8 a month (or $60 a year) for 2–6 people, $12 for 7–12, $16 for 13+. Housemates never pay; the owner does.
Who can create or join a house?
Anyone can create a house and becomes its owner. Housemates join by invitation only, with the house's invite link, code, or QR. There is no public list of houses, and a house is only visible to the people in it.
Do my housemates need an account?
Not to start. You can add them by name and split bills and chores with them straight away. Each one gets a private link that shows what they owe, how to pay you, and their chore turns. When they want reminders and their own expenses, they create an account (free for them) and claim their spot, and everything so far comes with them.
Can I use it if I live alone?
Yes. Bills remind you on the day they're due, the lease tracker reminds you before the last day to give notice, and a move-in check keeps dated photos of every room for your deposit. There's also a belongings list for renter's insurance and home-upkeep reminders. A house with just you costs $4 a month after the 14-day trial.
Does it handle money?
Money between housemates never moves through hausync. It tracks who owes who in each expense, and each housemate can save their Venmo, PayPal, Cash App, or Zelle so paying them is one tap away. You still pay each other however you normally do.
Do I need NFC tags for laundry?
No. Every machine gets a printable label with a QR code, and any phone camera opens it. An NFC sticker is optional and holds the same link.
Who can see what in chat?
The House channel and every floor's channel are open to everyone in the house. A group is visible only to the people added to it. A direct message is private to the two people in it; nobody else in the house, including the house admins, can open it.
Can other floors see my floor's things?
Lists, chores, events, tickets, and laundry machines can be set for one floor, and then only that floor and the house admins see them. Anything set for the whole house is visible to everyone in it.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes. hausync works in your phone's browser, and you can install it to your home screen like an app, on iPhone, Android, or desktop.
Can I be in more than one house?
Yes. One account can belong to several houses, and you can switch between them.
Set up your house
