How to get told when a machine is free

Tap Tell me when it's free on a busy machine. You get a notification once the load is taken out.

Steps

On Home, tap the Laundry card.
On a machine that's running or done, tap Tell me when it's free.
The button changes to You're next · tap to leave, and your name shows under Waiting. Tap it again to leave the list.
When the person takes their load out, you get a notification that the machine is free.
To get these as phone notifications, open the house page, go to Settings, open Reminders, tap Turn on notifications on this device, make sure Laundry is on and tap Save.

You're told when the load is marked as taken out, not when the timer ends.
The wait list clears once the machine is free.
The Laundry reminder setting also covers "your cycle finished" alerts. Turn it off and you get no laundry notifications.
On iPhone, add hausync to the Home Screen first, then turn notifications on from the installed app.
