How to print QR labels or write NFC tags for machines
Updated
The owner prints one QR label per machine from the Machines page. An NFC sticker is optional. Scanning either opens that machine so people can start a load.
Steps
- On Home, tap the Laundry card, then tap Machines.
- Tap Print labels. You get one label per machine with its name and a QR code.
- Tap Print and print on any printer, or save it as a PDF. Cut the labels out and stick each one on its machine.
- For an NFC sticker (optional), open the machine in the Machines list and tap Write NFC sticker. Hold the sticker to the back of the phone until you see Tag written.
- To check, scan the label or tap the sticker with your phone. It opens that machine.
Good to know
- Only the owner can print labels, copy the link, show the QR and write tags, and all of them need Premium. On the free plan each machine shows See what it adds instead. Scanning a label also needs Premium.
- Writing NFC works in Chrome on Android with NFC turned on. On iPhone, Safari can't write tags: use a free NFC writer app and save the machine's link as a URL record. Use Copy link to get the link.
- If a label is lost or you want to stop the old one working, tap New tag link and print again. The old label and sticker stop working.
- A label doesn't let anyone in. People have to be signed in and in your house to use it.
