How to create a house

After signing up you land on Start your house: optionally name it, list who lives with you, check the time zone, and tap Create house.

Steps

Right after sign-up you see Start your house. (Already have a house? Go to Home, tap your house name at the top, then under Settings open Your houses and account and tap Create another house.)
Type a House name, or leave it blank to use "<your first name>'s house". You can rename it later.
Under Who lives with you?, type housemates' names separated by commas or new lines, or leave it blank if you live alone.
Check the Time zone. It is picked from your device automatically.
Tap Create house. You go to Home as the house owner.

You become the owner of the house you create.
Names under Who lives with you? become housemates without an account (up to 12). You can split bills and chores with them straight away, and each can later claim their spot.
Every new house starts on the free plan.
Owners and admins can change the name and time zone later in House settings.
