How to add a housemate who doesn't have an account yet

Owners and admins add them by name in House settings under Members, then send them their private link to claim the spot.

Steps

Go to Home, tap your house name at the top, and under Settings tap House settings.
In Members, type their name in Add someone without an account and tap Add.
They now show as "no account yet" and can be included in bills, expense splits, and chore turns.
When you want them to see it, tap Send their link next to their name and send it by text or any app.

Only owners and admins can add people this way. You can also list names under Who lives with you? when you create the house.
Names must be unique in the house.
The link is private to that person: anyone holding it can see that one person's balances and chore turns, nothing else.
If your phone has no share sheet, the link is copied so you can paste it.
