How to add a chore (one-off or repeating)
Updated
Open Calendar, tap Manage chores, then + Chore. Pick how often it repeats and when it starts, then tap Add chore.
Steps
- Open the Calendar tab and tap Manage chores at the top.
- Tap Chore (the + button at the top right).
- Type the chore's name in Chore. Add extra info in Details (optional) if you like.
- Choose Who sees it: Whole house, one floor, or Just me.
- Under Repeats, pick Once, Daily, Weekly or Monthly.
- Set Every to space out the repeats. For example, weekly with Every 2 means every other week.
- For a weekly chore, tick the days under On. If you leave them all blank, it uses the start date's weekday.
- Set Starts. Set Ends (optional) if the chore should stop on a certain date.
- Tap Add chore. You land on the week view of the calendar and see "Chore added".
Good to know
- Once means the chore happens one time, on the start date. Monthly repeats on the same day of the month as the start date.
- Every can be from 1 to 52.
- Chores are scheduled up to 56 days ahead.
- If you're on a floor, the form picks your floor for Who sees it by default. Change it to Whole house if everyone should see it.
- You can also start from the Add a chore button when the chore list or the week is empty.
