How house, floor, group and direct chats work

The Chat tab has three sections. House holds the whole-house channel and each floor's channel. Groups holds the group chats you're in. People is where you message one housemate directly.
Steps
- Tap Chat in the tab bar.
- Under House, open the house channel, which is for everyone in the house, or a floor channel. Your own floor is listed first, and every floor's channel is open to the whole house.
- Under Groups, open a group chat you're in.
- Under People, tap a housemate to message them directly. Only the two of you can see it.
- Type in the box at the bottom and press Send or Enter. Shift+Enter starts a new line.
- Tap All chats at the top to go back.
Good to know
- The Chat tab is hidden while you're the only person in the house with an account.
- Chats with unread messages show a number and move to the top of their section.
- To be notified about new messages, open Reminders in Settings and switch on Messages.
